NAIROBI, KENYA/ Every year on 5 June, the World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated. Since 1972, this commemoration is a vehicle through which the United Nations stimulates worldwide awareness towards the environment. In supportof the UN International Year of Forests (IYF), 2011 WED, is aimed to be the biggest and most widely celebrated global day for positive action for the planet.
