Scanners at EU airports and a low-carbon energy system being discussed by parliament

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM/ A plenary session at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, will be the place to take action in scanners and low carbon economy in Europe. Mercedes Bresso, president of the Committee of Regions, will attend the plenary session to give her recipe for the success of the Europe 2020 strategy. The EESC's stance on security scanners at EU airports and the EU's roadmap for a low-carbon energy system will be discussed at the upcoming plenary session of the European Economic and Social Committee on 16 and 17 February.
